2012 Region Chief Goals

Earlier this month, I outlined my  maiNERlogo_largen set of goals for the Northeast Region to accomplish this y ear.  In order to utilize as many resources as possible I thought it would be important to share these goals with everyone from the region so you can get a better understanding of what we're looking for at the region level.

•    Improve the percentage of NLS contract completion
      ◦    90 days after the seminar, see a completion rate of 50%
      ◦    8 months after the seminar, see a completion rate of 80%
      ◦    Build table guide expectations into the staff recruitment process to see to ensure that staff members follow through with their duties.

•   Build an online Northeast Region trading post to increase excitement and unity within the region
      ◦    Sell some goods at NLS and Gathering of Leaders and sell the rest online

•    Increase the visible presence of the Northeast Region at NOAC 2012
      ◦    By interacting with as many guests as possible
      ◦    By running a successful orientation program
      ◦    By increasing pride and unity of the Northeast Region at the region gathering and throughout the week with giveaways

•    Conduct the first NLS in the Transatlantic Council
      ◦    Produce a promotional video by March 30 including highlights and interviews from the March NLS
      ◦    Recruit top staff for Germany NLS and ensure that they are properly trained

•    Building upon the strength of last year's Gathering of Leaders, we want to:
      ◦    Develop another chiefs-only session
      ◦    Focus the theme around the concept of being leaders among leaders
      ◦    Have a strong, fun entertainment component for Saturday night

For some of these goals, I am heavily relying on the lodge chiefs and lodge officers to follow through with them in their lodges.  They will be the ones, in addition to NLS table guides, to follow up with the NLS participants from their lodges to see that they successfully follow through with the program and complete their NLS contract.  I am also relying on the lodge and section leaders to promote the new merchandise in the online Northeast Region Trading Post and to increase our Arrowmen's excitement for the Northeast Region, especially at NOAC.

These goals are far too big for one person, but I have full confidence that the great Northeast Region will come through this year.  Our NOAC theme for this year is “United, We Leave a Legacy,” and this is our chance to get a head-start and put our theme into action before the conference even starts.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to me to see what part you can play in meeting this challenge in your lodge or section. This is going to be a great year.
