Inviting the Region Chief to Lodge and Section Events |
|
Is your lodge or section interested in inviting the Northeast Region Chief to an event in 2012? If so, please read the following excerpt from the January 2012 Region OA News and Information Bulletin regarding inviting the Region Chief to your lodge and section events:
"Our Region Chief is often receiving invitations to attend lodge and section events, and, I thought it would be good to let you know how that process works. Invitations should come from the Lodge or Section Adviser, in writing (email is fine), and, while they can be sent directly to the Region Chief, should also be copied to the Region Chairman and Staff Adviser. Please know that when you invite the chief, your lodge or section is required to pay his expenses.
I would also ask that you make your requests at least 45 days in advance; when possible. Eric got elected on the morning of December 28th, and later that afternoon was given 12 regional and national events to add to his calendar. Later that same day, the requests had already begun, and his calendar was filling. I want you to know this so that you can understand if he is not able to attend your event (though he will certainly do his best to try!)." |
