NOAC 2018 A HUGE Success!

Thanks to the 1206 Participants & 305 Staff Members, TOTAL – 1511 arrowmen, that joined us at Indiana University and represented the Northeast Region at NOAC this year. Thanks to everyone for making the Trek to IU! If you missed NOAC 2018 (no worries) – I hope you’ll join us at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan on August 3-8, 2020!
Northeast Region 2018 OA Distinguished Service Award Recipients
The Distinguished Service Award (DSA) was created in 1940 to honor Order of the Arrow members, youth and adults, who have rendered distinguished and outstanding service to the Order on a sectional, regional, or national basis. The award is presented at National Order of the Arrow Conferences. The following 11 Northeast Region recipients from the Class of 2018, received there award at NOAC on July 31st.

Section Officers’ Summit/Gathering of Leaders
September 14-16, at Camp Alpine, NJ
The Section Officers Summit, called “Gathering of Leaders” in the Northeast Region, will once again provide renewed emphasis on Conclave planning and program. Our Chief Justin St. Louis will be working hard on the program over the next few months; Sections should anticipate that their Conclave Coordinator (youth) and Conclave Adviser will be invited again this year.Registration info will be send out in mid-July.
High Performing Lodge Summit
October 5-7, 2018 at Camp Alpine, NJ
On the weekend of October 5th to 7th, Lodge Chiefs, Lodge Advisers and Lodge Staff Advisers from every Lodge in the Northeast Region are invited to take part in this special event. It will be held at Camp Alpine in Alpine NJ. – Please put this event on your lodge calendars!
The event will include trainings and breakout sessions by position, idea and best practice sharing, information about new and upcoming programs in the OA, break out session will include how to help lodge become a “High Performing Lodge” and understanding the three step to better retention - Election, Induction and Activation - our goal is to help every lodge work towards being the best you can. You will also have a chance to meet and hear from several special guests and members of the National Committee.

November NLS/DYLC Registration Now Open
November 9-11, 2018 at Camp Alpine, NJ
Lodge Advisers, Staff Advisers, and Section Advisers should have received registration materials via email this past week for the fall NLS, November 9th – 11th at Camp Alpine. Please be sure to emphasize with your Lodges to get attendees registered as soon as possible. The course will fill quickly, after which registration will be closed.

I continue to be blessed every day to represent you as the NER Chairman. Thank you! I get to work with the most amazing young men in the NER, the best team of adults, and together, we have been able to accomplish some great things half way thru 2018! I am very much looking forward to the 2nd half of the year. I hope to see many of you at one (or more) of the 3 events we are hosting in the fall.
Your Region Key 3 appreciates all that you do in your leadership role. Thanks for doing your part to promote the excellent program available to our youth at Lodge weekends and Fall Events. We can’t do it without you!
